Order Laura's Premium Quality Quick Bread Mix |
An excellent
addition to Motown Soup’s line up for 2007, this Quick Bread Mix matches
versatility with easy. Thank you, Laura, for all your work!
ALL you need to add is 12 ounces of liquid.
There is an option of using ½ cup butter for basting the bread
(explained below). |
Directions:
Empty contents of Quick Bread Mix into a bowl. Whisk ingredients. Add 12 ounces
liquid; mix until well blended. Pour into greased 9 x 5 loaf pan. Bake 40 – 50
minutes at 350 degrees. Optional: After 30 minutes of baking, brush top with
melted butter. Bake an additional 10 minutes. Tap on the bottom of the pan, if
it sounds hollow, remove the pan and cool. Use any leftover butter to brush
again after removing from the oven.
Variations:
Cherry Bread:
Add 12 oz. Black Cherry soda and 1/3 cup chopped maraschino cherries.
Peanut Butter Bread:
12 oz. Cream soda and ½ cup peanut butter chips; top with powdered sugar glaze.
Banana Bread:
2 cups of overripe bananas and 8 oz. Sunny Delight.
Orange Bread:
12 oz. Orange Crush and ½ cup
or small can of drained mandarin oranges.
Drop Biscuits:
12 oz. Buttermilk
Cranberry Orange Bread:
12 oz.
Orange Juice and chopped cranberries.
Hawaiian Bread:
12 oz. Mountain Dew
Ginger Bread:
12 oz. Root Beer, ½ cup molasses, 1 scoop Chai; no butter.
Bacon/Beer Bread:
12 oz. Beer with bacon bits or real bacon bits to taste.
Garlic Bread:
12 oz. Sprite with ½ cup Parmesan Cheese and garlic to taste.
