Chocolate Brownie Mix
Mama’s Very Chocolate Brownie Mix So good you don’t need frosting, but who’s counting? Fabulous and chocolicious. Serve warm with Sander’s Hot Fudge Sauce!
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Pour chocolate brownie mix into a large bowl. In a separate bowl, mix items not in the package:
1-1/2 teaspoons Vanilla
1/2 cup Shortening or Cooking Oil
2 TBS Water
Mix wet ingredients well and add to the brownie mix in the large bowl. Stir with a fork until blended. Chocolate chips can be blended in, sprinkled on top, or used as a snack while making the brownies. Serving warm with ice cream, hot fudge, nuts and maraschino cherries could put you into another universe. Pour into an 8 x 8 pan (or 9 x 12 for thinner brownies or consider muffin size or mini-muffins size for two bite brownies). Grease only the bottom of the pan as greasing the sides causes brownie edges to harden. Bake for 25 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Do NOT over bake brownies.
